Gender Facilitation Centre (GFC)
A safe space for woman to seek counselling and referral services
The Gender Facilitation Center (GFC) is an one-stop counseling center at the GPLF office, dedicated to support rural women in accessing their rights and addressing gender equity concerns. It offers a safe, empowering environment for victims of gender-based violence, including domestic violence, and assists with access to various schemes and entitlements.

The GFC provides confidential counseling services to support women affected by gender-based violence. Trained counselors offer guidance, emotional support, and resources to help women regain confidence and make informed decisions. The counseling sessions aim to create a safe space for healing and empowerment.
The GFC offers referral services to connect women with essential support networks, including legal aid, healthcare, and social services. Through partnerships with local organizations and service providers, the center ensures that women receive specialized assistance tailored to their needs. These referrals help women access comprehensive care and additional resources for their well-being and empowerment.
The GFC provides women with crucial information on their rights, available government schemes, and entitlements. Through informative sessions and resources, women are empowered with knowledge to navigate systems effectively and make informed decisions about their lives and well-being.
The GFC collaborates closely with various line departments, such as health, legal, and social welfare, to ensure women receive comprehensive support. By coordinating services and resources, the GFC facilitates streamlined access to government programs and schemes. This convergence strengthens the response to women’s needs, providing them with holistic assistance for greater impact and empowerment.
The GFC prioritizes privacy, safety, and security for all women seeking assistance. Confidentiality is strictly maintained, and secure protocols are followed to create a trustworthy environment. This commitment ensures that women feel safe and respected throughout their interactions with the centre.

GFC is developed by GPLF and managed by Gender-Community Resource Person (GCRP). The GCRP receives case by both physical and virtual mode and provides necessary support based on the need of the client/woman.
